1. An apparatus comprising:
a display device;
at least one processor configured to:
establish a connection with a gaming provider server over a plurality of private wireless networks;
determine whether a location of the apparatus amongst the plurality of private wireless networks is within a predefined area in which gaming is permitted based on a predetermined criteria;
receive a location verification signal that permits or disables gaming based on the predetermined criteria;
in response to the location verification signal, display on the display device an icon associated with a certain location of a gaming area;
in response to an input on an icon on the display device, display images on the display device of the certain location of the gaming area;
receive a first signal indicative of a wager on a game about to occur at the certain location of the gaming area;
periodically update the determined location of the apparatus to ensure that movement of the apparatus to an unauthorized area is detected during play; and
receive a second signal from at least one sensor provided in the gaming area indicating that wagering on the game about to occur at the certain location is no longer permitted.
