1. A method for managing or regulating curbside use by vehicles, the method comprising:
providing a communication system configured to communicate with one or more vehicles associated with one or more customers;
executing instructions of one or more computing devices, each computing device having at least one memory and at least one processor, the at least one processor being in communication with the one or more customers via the communication system, the at least one processor being configured to perform the following operations:
prompting a customer of the one or more customers to request curbside use of a curbside space, in which the customer inputs at least a destination address and an estimated dwell time for a connected vehicle associated with the customer,
dynamically prioritizing allocation of the curbside space based upon a predetermined set of priorities determined by an owner or operator of the curbside space, the predetermined set of priorities including a plurality of the following factors: ADA accessibility, safety, emergency response, modal preference, vehicle type or size dimensions, demand and peak use, disabled occupant, revenue generation, and number of occupants, and
the dynamically prioritizing of the allocation of the curbside space including prohibiting allocation of the curbside space based on prohibition zones of the curbside space,
generating available curbside access destinations of the curbside space based at least in part on the destination address, the estimated dwell time, and on the dynamic prioritization of the allocation of the curbside space including prohibiting allocation of the curbside space based on prohibition zones thereof, and generating an estimated fee for each of the available curbside access destinations,
communicating the available curbside access destinations and the estimated fees to the customer,
prompting the customer to reserve one of the available curbside access destinations as a reserved curbside destination, and
generating a route from a current location of the connected vehicle to the reserved curbside destination, wherein the connected vehicle is moved from the current location to the reserved curbside destination via the route.
