1. A system for collection of information about virtual entity data objects, comprising:
an SIO database as a structured, network-connected data repository storing a plurality of virtual entity data objects each representing either a physical object in the real world, or a virtual object having no physical presence in the real world, each virtual entity data object associated with a single, unique SIO code, an object name and an original description entered by a registered user originally instantiating the virtual entity data object, and a broad variety of image, textual and audio information entered after instantiation;
an SIO template database storing a plurality of input templates, each input template specifically associated with a different category of objects and adapted to create search queries;
a software-enabled SIO input module adapted to select an input template from the template database; and
information stored in at least one third party database;
wherein the registered user either instantiates a new virtual entity data object with a name and an original description, or selects an existing virtual entity data object having a name and an original description, and the software-enabled SIO input module selects one input template from the template database based on the name and original description of the virtual entity data object instantiated or selected, the one input template selected creates one or more search queries, a search is conducted on line based on the search queries, and information retrieved in response to the search queries is added to information associated with the virtual entity data object instantiated or selected.
