1. A method comprising:
sensing motor current during operation of a vehicle, wherein the vehicle has a motor mechanically coupled to wheels of the vehicle;
estimating ground slope using the motor current and vehicle acceleration, wherein the ground slope is estimated while the vehicle is moving; and
estimating a mass of the vehicle using the motor current and the ground slope.
