1. An inkjet printing apparatus comprising:
a printing unit including a plurality of ejection parts, each configured to eject ink by using a piezoelectric element configured to be displaced in response to a change in electric potential;
a circulation unit configured execute a circulating operation to circulate ink in a circulation path inclusive of the printing unit;
a detection unit configured to detect residual vibration generated at an ejection part due to ejection of the ink; and
a determination unit configured to determine an ejection state of ejection of the ink at the ejection part based on the residual vibration detected by the detection unit,
wherein the detection unit is configured to detect residual vibration at the ejection part when circulation of the ink from the circulating operation is caused to not occur in a vicinity of the ejection part.
