1. A negative-carbon footprint concrete dry composite composition comprising:
CO2-sequestering aggregate that sequesters carbon dioxide (CO2) from a direct air capture (DAC) generated gaseous source of CO2, wherein the CO2-sequestering aggregate comprises aggregate particles having a core and a CO2 sequestering carbonate mineral coating layer on at least a portion of a surface of the core; and
cementitious material,
wherein the CO2-sequestering carbonate mineral coating layer is distinct from the cementitious material.
