1. A method for identifying clinical effects of electrical stimulation, the method comprising:
providing a leadwire implanted in patient tissue and comprising a plurality of electrodes, wherein the plurality of electrodes comprises at least one set of two or more directional electrodes, wherein the directional electrodes of each of the at least one set are disposed at a same longitudinal level of the leadwire but at different circumferential positions;
for each of a plurality of different combinations of values of a) a particular stimulation parameter and b) a directionality of the stimulation, stimulating the patient tissue using the values of the particular stimulation parameter and the directionality of the stimulation and obtaining a first clinical effect, selected from a plurality of different effects, produced thereby and a degree of the first clinical effect selected from a plurality of different degrees, the plurality of different degrees comprising at least a high degree of the first clinical effect and a low degree of the first clinical effect; and
displaying a graph plotting the obtained first clinical effects as respective data points, wherein, for each of the data points, a color, hue, saturation, transparency, or size of the displayed data point indicates the degree of the obtained first clinical effect.
