1. A method of repairing a discontinuity in an area of tissue, the method comprising: applying a bioadhesive hydrogel to an area of tissue near a site to be repaired such that the area of tissue to be repaired is partially or fully covered by the bioadhesive hydrogel, wherein the bioadhesive hydrogel includes a dual crosslinked biodegradable hydrogel that includes a plurality of oxidized and acrylated or methacrylated polysaccharide macromers crosslinked with a plurality of branched poly(ethylene glycol) macromers.
