1. A system for removing a thrombus, the system comprising:
a delivery electrode comprising an interventional element configured to be disposed proximate to or adjacent to a thrombus within a blood vessel, the interventional element comprising a self-expandable mesh, the delivery electrode configured to be electrically coupled to a first terminal of a current generator; and
a core assembly having a distal end portion coupled to the interventional element and configured to be electrically coupled to a second terminal of the current generator, the core assembly comprising:
an electrically conductive pushwire;
a conductive hypotube surrounding the pushwire along at least a portion of a length of the pushwire, the hypotube having a cut pattern along at least a portion of a length of the hypotube; and
an electrically insulative material disposed radially between the pushwire and the hypotube.
