1. A method, comprising:
performing, by a first wireless communication device, according to a duty cycle, a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation on a channel between the first wireless communication device and a second device to determine that the channel is available, prior to transmitting a first signal comprising a first chirp of a plurality of chirps of a data burst; and
transmitting, by the first wireless communication device, the first signal on the channel responsive to performing the LBT operation.
