1. A base station, comprising:
a memory; and
one or more processors configured to, when executing instructions stored in the memory, cause the base station to:
receive, from a user equipment (UE), a packet associated with an application of the UE and corresponding to a first low latency protocol data unit (PDU) session configured to support low latency, low loss, scalable throughput (LAS) traffic;
determine, based on the packet, whether the application is capable of LAS;
when the application is capable of LAS,
forward the packet via the first PDU session of the low latency; and
when the application is not capable of LAS,
establish second PDU session configured to support non-LAS traffic, and
forward the packet via the second PDU session.
