1. One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, perform a method for calculating a location of user equipment (UE) prior to communicating a short message service (SMS) message to an emergency number, the method comprising:
receiving, at the UE, a selection of the emergency number as a recipient of the SMS message;
causing the UE to enter into a pre-emergency mode and to unblock all numbers at the UE;
while the UE is receiving input in a body of the SMS message, calculating a location of the UE;
upon receiving, at the UE, an indication to send the SMS message, causing the SMS message and the location of the UE to be communicated.
