1. A method of synthesizing an n-doped conducting polymer, comprising:
dissolving 3,7-dihydrobenzo[1,2-b:4,5-b′] difuran-2,6-dione (BDF) in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) in presence of a catalytic amount of copper acetate thereby generating a solution; and
heating the solution to an elevated temperature for a predetermined amount of time to
thereby generate an n-doped polymerized BDF (n-PBDF).
