1. A method for hiding covert information within cover audio, comprising the steps of:
choosing a set of codebook waveforms, wherein each codebook waveform in the set is an audio sample waveform of a short spoken word;
assigning a unique representative digit value to each codebook waveform in the set;
based on the codebook waveform representative digit values, forming an audio covert information representation sequence, wherein the audio covert information representation sequence is a coded audio sequence comprising concatenated short spoken words representing the covert information; and
repeatedly superimposing the audio covert information representation sequence upon segments of cover audio at a fraction of the amplitude of the cover audio.
