22. A method comprising:
indicating, by an application programming interface (API), one of multiple memory addresses corresponding to a pool of memory comprising a memory address referenced by a pointer provided as an input parameter to the API, wherein a memory address indicated by the API is different from the memory address referenced by the pointer, wherein performing the API is further to determine whether the memory address provided as the input parameter to the API is included in the multiple memory addresses.
