1. A radar detector device comprising:
a receiver device configured to detect a plurality of signals generated in a context of law enforcement activity across a plurality of different frequency ranges; and
a processor, wherein the processor is configured to:
detect a position of the radar detector device;
determine that the radar detector device is located in a geofenced area;
suppress alarms for signals in a first frequency band within the geofenced area; and
detect signals in a second frequency band within the geofenced area,
wherein alarm suppression does not require historic data of the radar detector device.
