1. A method of using a system, the system comprising:
a wellbore formed within the ground and having a casing installed therein; and
an apparatus, comprising:
an elongate sleeve having a helical groove formed in its outer surface;
an elongate charge housing installed within the sleeve and comprising:
a triggering device installed within the charge housing; and
a plurality of explosive charges installed within the charge housing;
in which the apparatus is positioned within the casing, the apparatus is not attached to a wireline, and the plurality of explosive charges are in an unexploded state;
the method, comprising:
detonating the plurality of explosive charges to perforate the casing; and
thereafter, detonating at least one additional explosive charge to fragment the sleeve and charge housing into a plurality of pieces.
