1. A reaction solution for pigment printing, comprising:
a polyvalent metal salt;
a cationic polymer;
a polyhydric alcohol having a standard boiling point of 250° C. or higher;
a polyhydric alcohol having a standard boiling point of 230° C. or lower; and
water, wherein
the reaction solution for pigment printing is used by being ejected by an ink jet method; and
a content of the polhydric alcohol having a standard boiling point of 250° C. or higher with respect to the total amount of the reaction solution is denoted as M1, a content of the polyhydric alcohol having a standard boiling point of 230° C. or lower with respect to the total amount of the reaction solution is denoted as M2, and a content ratio (M2/M1) is 01 to 30.0.
