1. A radiation therapy system comprising:
a radiation therapy (RT) device; and
a base plate covering at least a portion of the area under the radiation therapy system and configured for rigidly mounting and aligning components of the radiation therapy system, the base plate having a plurality of drill patterns that configure the base plate to alternatively accept for mounting and aligning, in addition to the RT device, a computed tomography (CT) device, or a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device, the base plate being configured to convert between aligning the CT device, and the MRI device without removing or disturbing the RT device.
