1. A system, comprising:
a generator configured to generate an electrical signal as a TTField having an alternating current waveform at a frequency in a range from 50 kHz to 500 kHz;
a first conductive lead electrically coupled to the generator, the first conductive lead configured to carry the electrical signal;
a first pad having a first electrode element electrically coupled to the first conductive lead, the first electrode element having a first side to be disposed towards a patient's body, and a first conductive gel element bonded to the first side, the first conductive gel element comprising at least one line of conductive gel forming one or more of a chevron pattern and a sinusoidal pattern on the first side of the first electrode element and defining, in conjunction with the first side of the first electrode element, at least one air channel having an air channel width, the first conductive gel element operable to be placed in contact with a patient's skin at a selected location and operable, at least in part based on the one or more of the chevron pattern and the sinusoidal pattern, to flex with movement of the patient without substantially moving from the selected location;
a second conductive lead electrically coupled to the generator, the second conductive lead configured to carry the electrical signal; and
a second conductive pad having a second electrode element electrically coupled to the second conductive lead.
