1. A sole structure for a shoe, the sole structure having a bottom surface, a top surface, and a thickness extending between the bottom surface and the top surface, the sole structure comprising:
a forefoot sole portion, arranged towards a distal end along a longitudinal central axis of said sole structure;
a rearfoot sole portion, arranged towards a proximal end along said longitudinal central axis of said sole structure; and
only a single articulation portion, adapted to operably couple said forefoot sole portion and said rearfoot sole portion, so as to allow relative movement between said forefoot sole portion and said rearfoot sole portion during use, said single articulation portion being configured to allow for inversion and/or eversion movement of said forefoot sole portion independent of said rearfoot sole portion, said single articulation portion comprising only a single groove structure extending from a medial side of said sole structure to a lateral side of said sole structure and having a width between opposing side surfaces of the single groove structure at a widest point of said single groove structure, said width at said widest point of said single groove structure being greater than a depth of said single groove structure, said depth of said single groove structure being about 35.9% or about 38.5% of said thickness of said sole structure, said single groove structure having opposing side surfaces oriented at a first angle of about 24 degrees relative to a vertical plane.
