1. A method for producing a bobbin of a cast leaf, the method comprising the steps of:
unwinding a mother bobbin comprising a wound web of a material containing alkaloids in such a way to provide a web of a material containing alkaloids, wherein the web of a material containing alkaloids contains between 10 percent and 25 percent in dry weight basis of an aerosol-former;
feeding the web of a material containing alkaloids to an embossing device in a transport direction;
embossing the web of a material containing alkaloids to form an embossed web of a material containing alkaloids; and
winding the embossed web of a material containing alkaloids in a bobbin,
wherein the step of embossing comprises applying an embossing pattern including a plurality of protrusions on at least a surface of the web of a material containing alkaloids, and
wherein an amplitude of the plurality of protrusions is comprised between about 10 and about 150 percent of a thickness of the web of a material containing alkaloids.
