A plasma torch comprising at least two electrodes comprising an inner electrode nested within an outer electrode, wherein the inner electrode is coaxially aligned with the outer electrode, and wherein the inner electrode or the outer electrode comprises a ring comprising a plurality of rods, wherein the plurality of rods simulate a hollow cylinder.
