1. A random access method, comprising:
initiating, by user equipment (UE), a random access based on at least one of: initial access, uplink synchronization loss, or reconstruction;
selecting, by the UE, a beam from multiple beams successively to transmit a preamble;
re-selecting, by the UE, a beam from the multiple beams in a case that the UE needs to re-transmit the preamble;
determining, by the UE, whether a currently selected beam for transmitting the preamble is identical to the multiple beams previously selected for transmitting the preamble;
transmitting, by the UE, the preamble at a boosted pilot transmit power in response to determining that the currently selected beam is identical to one of the multiple beams and a value of a pilot power boost counter does not reach a maximum value.
