1. A method of a user equipment (UE), comprising:
receiving, from a base station:
a number of control resource sets (CORESETs) that may be used for each monitoring occasion of a set of one or a plurality of search spaces (SS),
a number of SS in each CORESET,
an aggregation level for each SS, and
a number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates, M(L), for each SS; and
performing PDCCH monitoring based on the number of CORESETs, the number of SS in each CORESET, the aggregation level for each SS, and the M(L).
