1. A multilayer ceramic capacitor comprising:
a multilayer body including a plurality of laminated dielectric layers, a first main surface and a second main surface facing each other in a height direction, a first end surface and a second end surface facing each other in a length direction orthogonal or substantially orthogonal to the height direction, and a first side surface and a second side surface facing each other in a width direction orthogonal or substantially orthogonal to the height direction and the length direction;
a plurality of first internal electrode layers on the plurality of dielectric layers and exposed to the first end surface;
a plurality of second internal electrode layers on the plurality of dielectric layers and exposed to the second end surface;
a first external electrode on the first end surface; and
a second external electrode on the second end surface; wherein
the multilayer body includes an effective layer portion in which the first internal electrode layer and the second internal electrode layer are opposite to each other;
the effective layer portion includes an inner effective layer portion and an outer effective layer portion when viewed from the first end surface or the second end surface;
the outer effective layer portion is located on sides of the first main surface, the second main surface, the first side surface, and the second side surface of the effective layer portion, and the inner effective layer portion is located inside the outer effective layer portion; and
a coverage over an entirety of the first internal electrode layer and the second internal electrode layer with respect to the dielectric layer located in the outer effective layer portion is larger than a coverage of at least a center portion in the width direction of the first internal electrode layer and the second internal electrode layer with respect to the dielectric layer located in the inner effective layer portion.
