1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
detecting, by an application executing on a computing device, at least one visual marker on a frame, from an image of the frame worn by a user captured by the computing device;
detecting, by the application, a pattern included in the at least one visual marker on the frame detected in the image;
identifying the frame and accessing configuration information associated with the frame based on the pattern detected in the at least one visual marker on the frame;
determining a three-dimensional pose of the frame as worn by the user based on the detecting of the at least one visual marker, the detecting of the pattern, and the configuration information associated with the frame identified based on the pattern detected in the at least one visual marker; and
determining a configuration of a display device of a wearable computing device based on the three-dimensional pose of the frame as worn by the user captured in the image.
