1. A method of simulating a product in a 3D environment, comprising the steps determining the dimensions of an object, wherein the dimensions define an image container;
receiving a product image, wherein the product image has predetermined dimensions;
calculating a width and/or height of the product image based on dimensions of the image container;
adjusting the width and/or height of the product image according to the calculated width and/or height to create an adjusted product image;
generating a 2D mesh using the image container;
deforming the 2D mesh according to a predetermined product type;
applying the adjusted product image to the deformed 2D mesh to create a 3D model of the product; and
placing the 3D model in a view of the 3D environment at the location of the object.
