1. A method for product evaluation comprising:
uniquely identifying, using one or more onboard sensor devices at the product, an identity of the user of the product;
sensing, using the one or more onboard sensor devices, one or more different aspects of the product's operation by an identified user, an onboard sensor comprising an accelerometer sensor to measure an acceleration of the product;
recording, at a programmed processor at the product, data relating to said different aspects of the product's usage by the identified user, the recorded data comprising accelerometer sensor data provided from said accelerometer sensor, said accelerometer sensor data indicating forces applied to and applied by the product;
applying a low pass filter to recorded accelerometer sensor data to detect a product usage that exceeds a pre-determined use tolerance;
identifying, by the programmed processor, in response to detecting a product usage that exceeds the pre-determined use tolerance, an operation of said product that is not in compliance with a recommended guideline directing how the product should be used;
generating, using the programmed processor at the product, a data report summarizing sensed product usage behaviors in which a product is being used by the identified user;
receiving, at a processor running at a remote computer device, a product review submitted on-line by the identified user about the product;
receiving, at the processor running at the remote computer, the data report summarizing sensed product usage behavior by the identified user; and
linking, by the processor running at a remote computer device, said generated data report associated with the identified user to the review submitted on-line by said identified user, said linking comprising a matching of an internet protocol (IP) address associated with both the identified user's uploaded product usage behavior data report and the received user's on-line product review;
analyzing, by the processor running at the remote computer device, a content of said linked data report against a content of said on-line review generated by the identified user;
generating, at the programmed processor running at the remote computer device, based on said analyzing, a reliability score indicating an accuracy of said on-line review in view of said data report content regarding that products usage operation by the identified user, said reliability score correlating a degree of how closely the identified user followed the recommended guideline, wherein subsequent third party reviewers can access said generated reliability score to evaluate a veracity of said on-line product review submitted by the identified user.
