1. A polymer dye comprising at least one repeating unit represented by structural formula 1 and further comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of repeating units represented by structural formulas 2 and 3:

wherein Dye in the structural formula 1 is a light absorbing material which contains an ionic or nonionic functional group and in which the maximum value of a molar extinction coefficient at a wavelength of 400 nm to 700 nm is 104 M−1 cm−1 or more, and R1 in the structural formula 2 is a hydrocarbon chain having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group.
