1. A group transmission device (10a), comprising:
an upshift assembly (28a; 28b) which is of planetary design and which comprises a first transmission element (P11a; P11b), a second transmission element (P12a; P12b) and a third transmission element (P13a; P13b);
a downshift assembly (56a; 56b) which is of planetary design and which comprises a first transmission element (P21a; P21b), a second transmission element (P22a; P22b) and a third transmission element (P23a; P23b);
a main shaft (18a; 18b) arranged coaxially to the upshift assembly (28a; 28b);
a layshaft (20a; 20b) arranged parallel to the main shaft (18a; 18b);
a first shift unit (S1a; S1b);
a first idler gear (44a; 44b) which is arranged coaxially to the main shaft (18a; 18b) and axially between the upshift assembly (28a; 28b) and the downshift assembly (56a; 56b) and which is connectable to the main shaft (18a; 18b) for conjoint rotation by the first shift unit (S1a; S1b); and
a second shift unit (S2a; S2b), wherein the first idler gear (44a; 44b) is connectable to the third transmission element (P23a; P23b) of the downshift assembly (56a; 56b) for conjoint rotation by the second shift unit (S2a; S2b).
