1. A medical device, comprising:
a sensing circuit configured to:
sense a first physiological cardiac signal;
sense first atrial event signals from the first physiological cardiac signal;
sense a second physiological cardiac signal; and
sense second atrial event signals from the second physiological cardiac signal; and
a control circuit coupled to the sensing circuit and configured to:
receive an atrial event input from the sensing circuit based on a first selected one of the first atrial event signals sensed by the sensing circuit or the second atrial event signals sensed by the sensing circuit;
determine that atrial event input switching criteria are met; and
switch to receiving the atrial event input based on a second selected one of the first atrial event signals sensed by the sensing circuit or the second atrial event signals sensed by the sensing circuit in response to the atrial event input switching criteria being met.
