1. A wearable cardiac monitoring and treatment device for improved skin interface contact and easy assembly and disassembly by a patient, comprising:
a garment configured to be worn about a torso of the patient for an extended period of time, the garment comprising an inner surface of an inner layer configured to contact a patient's skin and an outer surface of an outer layer configured to pull away from the patient;
a plurality of ECG sensing electrodes affixed to the garment and configured to be in electrical contact with the patient, wherein the plurality of ECG sensing electrodes are permanently affixed to the garment;
at least one stiffener forming a layer of a portion of the garment in proximity to one or more of the plurality of ECG sensing electrodes, wherein the at least one stiffener is configured to resist rotation or pulling away of the one or more of the plurality of ECG sensing electrodes from the torso, wherein one or more of the at least one stiffener is included between the inner and outer layers of the garment;
a plurality of therapy electrodes configured to be assembled into the garment and further configured to deliver one or more therapeutic shocks to the patient;
at least one separate module comprising a therapy delivery circuit configured to control delivery of the one or more therapeutic shocks to the patient;
a controller in communication with the at least one separate module and configured to
receive cardiac signals sensed by the plurality of ECG sensing electrodes,
analyze the cardiac signals for an arrhythmia condition of the patient,
provide a patient notification output requesting the patient to provide a patient response upon determining that the patient is experiencing a life-threatening arrhythmia condition, and
cause the therapy delivery circuit to provide the one or more therapeutic shocks to the patient in response to not receiving the patient response;
a plurality of compartments configured to receive the plurality of therapy electrodes and the at least one separate module;
one or more internal wires connecting the plurality of ECG sensing electrodes to the controller, the one or more internal wires integrated into the garment, wherein at least some of the one or more internal wires integrated into the garment are woven between the inner and outer layers of the garment; and
a plurality of retention loops configured to route external wires extending between at least the plurality of therapy electrodes and the at least one separate module,
wherein the plurality of compartments and the plurality of retention loops are disposed on the outer surface of the garment thereby facilitating the easy assembly and disassembly by the patient.
