1. A transgenic maize line expressing a synthetic AGM182 peptide, wherein the transgenic maize line is made by the method comprising the steps of:
introducing into immature maize embryos by agrobacterium-mediated transformation the synthetic AGM182 gene, wherein the AGM182 gene comprises a 129 bp nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:3.
