1. A medical image processing apparatus, comprising:
processing circuitry configured to
acquire a plurality of X-ray images that include a device having a wire shape and being inserted into a body of a subject,
suppress, among the X-ray images, movement of a characteristic portion of the device characterized in a shape and that is positioned distant from a distal end of the device, by performing a matching process of the characteristic portion, wherein the characteristic portion is a portion of the device having a curvature exceeding a threshold, and
display, on a display, suppressed images, obtained from the X-ray images, in which the movement of the characteristic portion is suppressed by having performed the matching process of the characteristic portion.
