1. A system, comprising:
an article of footwear, including:
a sole;
an upper;
a motor;
a spool configured to be rotated by the motor; and
at least one sensor coupled to the motor;
a wearable article, different than the article of footwear, configured to be worn by a wearer of the article of footwear and including at least one sensor located in the wearable article;
wherein the article of footwear further comprises a microprocessor in communication with the at least one sensor located in the article of footwear and with the at least one sensor located in the wearable article;
wherein the microprocessor is configured to receive a first input from the sensor located in the article of footwear and a second input from the sensor located in the wearable article over a personal-area network and respond to at least one of the first input and the second input by determining whether to activate the motor to rotate the spool to compress a fabric portion of the article of footwear;
wherein the wearable article is one of a head band, a wrist band, a knee pad, and ankle wrap, a shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of pants.
