1. A method of wireless communication, comprising:
receiving a first source information sequence representing a first message for transmission;
encoding the first source information sequence based on a systematic-type code based on probabilistic constellation shaping being applied, wherein encoding the first source information sequence based on the systematic-type code comprises setting a value of a first puncturing parameter to 0, the first puncturing parameter relating to puncturing a systematic portion of the first message;
generating a first sequence of symbols representing the first message for transmission; and
transmitting a first waveform based on the first sequence of symbols.
