1. A method of deriving a Quasi-Colocation (QCL) assumption in multi-panel transmission for a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
reporting, to a network of a wireless communication system, capabilities of supporting: a multi-transmit-receive-point (multi-TRP) operation for supporting simultaneous reception from multiple TRPs, and a panel-specific default beam for at least one physical downlink shared channel (PDSCHD) reception;
receiving a configuration comprising a plurality of control resource set (CORESET) groups from the each CORESET group corresponding to a different TRP;
receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) associated with a first TRP of the multiple TRPs;
determining a default QCL assumption for demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) port(s) of the PDSCH scheduled by the PDCCH according to a CORESET of one of the plurality of CORESET groups associated with the first TRP, in response to a time offset between a reception of downlink control information (DCI) in the scheduling PDCCH and the PDSCH reception being less than a threshold; and
applying the default QCL assumption for reception of the DM-RS port(s) of the PDSCH.
