1. A single cable optical data/power transmission port breakout system, comprising:
a single cable optical data/power transmission powering device;
a powering device optical data/power transmission cable that is connected to the single cable optical data/power transmission powering device;
a plurality of single cable optical data/power transmission powered devices;
a respective powered device optical data/power transmission cable that is connected to each of the plurality of single cable optical data/power transmission powered devices; and
a single cable optical data/power transmission port breakout device that includes:
a powering device single cable optical data/power port coupled to the powering device optical data/power transmission cable that is connected to the single cable optical data/power transmission powering device, wherein the powering device single cable optical data/power port includes at least one optical data conduit having an optical data conduit cross-sectional area, and at least one optical power conduit having an optical power conduit cross-section area that is greater than the optical data conduit cross-sectional area;
a respective powered device single cable optical data/power port coupled to each respective powered device optical data/power transmission cable connected to one of the single cable optical data/power transmission powered devices, wherein each powered device single cable optical data/power port includes at least one optical data conduit having the optical data conduit cross-sectional area, and at least one optical power conduit having the optical power conduit cross-section area that is greater than the optical data conduit cross-sectional area;
a data communication system that is coupled to the at least one optical data conduit on the powering device single cable optical data/power port, and to the at least one optical data conduit on each respective powered device single cable optical data/power port;
a power transmission system that is coupled to the at least one optical power conduit on the powering device single cable optical data/power port, and to the at least one optical power conduit on each respective powered device single cable optical data/power port, wherein the power transmission system is configured to:
receive, via the at least one optical power conduit on the powering device single cable optical data/power port, first optical power from the single cable optical data/power transmission powering device; and
transmit, via the at least one optical power conduit on each of the powered device single cable optical data/power ports, a portion of the first optical power to each of the plurality of single cable optical data/power transmission powered devices; and
a breakout subsystem that is coupled to each of the data communication system and that is configured to:
receive, via the at least one optical data conduit on the powering device single cable optical data/power port, first optical data from the single cable optical data/power transmission powering device; and
transmit, via the at least one optical data conduit on at least one of the powered device single cable optical data/power ports, the first optical data to at least one of the plurality of single cable optical data/power transmission powered devices.
