1. A method for transferring a wireless power in a wireless power transfer system, the method performed by a wireless power transmitter and comprising:
receiving, from a wireless power receiver, information for detecting whether a foreign object (FO) exists;
detecting whether the FO exists before transferring the wireless power based on the information;
transferring, to the wireless power receiver, the wireless power based on detecting that the FO is not exist; and
performing calculation of a slot quality factor on a slot while transferring the wireless power,
wherein the slot quality factor is a quality factor used to determine whether an FO is inserted while transferring the wireless power,
wherein a starting point of the slot is a point at which a voltage value of a coil in the wireless power transmitter is a maximum and a current value of the coil is 0,
wherein the wireless power transmitter receives a received power (RP) packet from the wireless power receiver and transmits a response to the RP to the wireless power receiver,
wherein the slot is located between a reception of the RP packet and a transmission of the response,
wherein the starting point of the slot is located after a first time from the reception of the RP packet, and
wherein the first time is a time when a shaking of a charging waveform caused by the reception of the RP packet is stabilized.
