1. A device comprising:
a power receiving coil configured to be magnetically coupled to a power transmitting coil of a wireless power transmitter;
wireless power receiving circuitry configured to receive energy from the power receiving coil and charge a battery of the device, the battery being configured to power one or more electronic systems of the device;
a processing and communications system powered by the battery; and
a wireless communications coil coupled to the processing and communications system, the communications coil comprising a Double-D winding configured to be magnetically coupled to a parallel Double-D communications coil of the wireless power transmitter to allow communications between the processing and communications system and the wireless power transmitter;
wherein:
the power receiving coil comprises a hemispherical magnetic core and a power winding disposed about an exterior of the hemispherical core; and
the wireless communication coil is disposed below at least a portion of the hemispherical magnetic core.
