1. A cable entry for watertight and dust-tight passage of a cable in a housing, comprising a body, the body extending along a longitudinal axis, the body comprising a cavity, a first and a second opening for passage of the cable, wherein the first and the second openings are positioned on the longitudinal axis of the body on opposite sides of the cavity, a sealing element, the sealing element being received in the cavity of the body, the sealing element comprising a single body spirally-wrapped around the cable to form a cylindrical channel for passage of the cable oriented along the longitudinal axis, and a clamping element on the side of the second opening for clamping the sealing element in the cavity of the body, wherein the body and the clamping element each comprise two detachable halves, a first half being located on a first side and a second half on a second side of a plane, the longitudinal axis of the body being located in the plane, and in that the sealing element is spiral shaped.
