1. A permanent magnetic composition comprising the formula:
(LaxMyNd1-x-y)rFevM′zCo14-v-zBw  (1)
wherein 0.1≤x<1, 11≤v≤12.2, 0.01≤y≤0.3, 0.25≤z≤0.5, 1.9≤r≤3, 0.1≤(x+y)<1, 11≤(v+z)≤12.2, and 1.0≤w≤1.1, wherein M represents one or more lanthanide elements other than La and Nd, and at least one of the lanthanide elements in M is Pr, and M′ represents one or more transition metal elements other than Fe and Co and/or M′ represents one or more main group elements selected from Groups 13 and 14 of the Periodic Table other than B, provided that M′ includes at least one of Cu and Ga, wherein the numerical values given above are molar amounts.
