1. A slot machine interface board comprising:
an interface;
a processor supported by a housing of an electronic gaming machine; and
a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
capture data associated with an occurrence of a regulatory review event associated with the electronic gaming machine,
communicate, via the interface and to a component of a regulatory review system, electronic gaming machine configuration data associated with the electronic gaming machine, and
responsive to a receipt, via the interface and from the component of the regulatory review system, of data associated with a determination of a defective operation of the electronic gaming machine, communicate data that results in a modification of the defective operation of the electronic gaming machine, wherein the determination of the defective operation of the electronic gaming machine is based on the captured data associated with the occurrence of the regulatory review event and the electronic gaming machine configuration data associated with the electronic gaming machine.
