1. A method for binning charge events, comprising:
detecting a transition in a signal output from a first discriminator of a plurality of discriminators in a photon-counting computed-tomography (CT) scanning system, wherein each discriminator of the plurality of discriminators is associated with a respective one of a plurality of threshold voltage levels; and
incrementing a count corresponding to the threshold voltage level associated with the first discriminator only if the detected transition in the signal output from the first discriminator was immediately preceded by an opposite transition in the signal output by the first discriminator.
