1. A convoy travel control device that automatically switches a speed change of an automatic transmission of a following vehicle from a traveling state of a leading vehicle when convoy travel is performed by a plurality of vehicles with autonomous driving, the convoy travel control device comprising:
a convoy participation time speed change control unit that determines a target gear stage of the automatic transmission of the following vehicle based on a target acceleration and a target vehicle speed of the leading vehicle and switches an actual gear stage of the automatic transmission of the following vehicle to the target gear stage in advance when the target gear stage and the actual gear stage of the automatic transmission of the following vehicle are different, wherein,
when a change in the target acceleration of the leading vehicle falls below a predetermined value, the convoy participation time speed change control unit switches the actual gear stage of the automatic transmission of the following vehicle to the target gear stage at a second speed change speed, and when a change in the target acceleration of the leading vehicle is equal to or more than the predetermined value, the convoy participation time speed change control unit switches the actual gear stage of the automatic transmission of the following vehicle to the target gear stage at a first speed change speed higher than the second speed change speed.
