1. A composition, comprising:
i) a cell comprising a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) repeat expansion sequence;
ii) a nuclease-dead Cas9 (dCas) fusion protein bound to a labeled peptide or labeled protein; and
iii) a single guide ribonucleic acid (sgRNA) comprising a stem loop, said stem loop having at least one A-U pair replaced with a G-C pair, wherein said sgRNA is complementary to at least a portion of said deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) repeat expansion sequence.
