1. An optical glass, comprising:
in terms of mol % of cations,
a Ta5+ component falling within a range of 0% to 20%,
a total amount of La3+, Y3+, and Gd3+ components falling within a range of 5% to 65%; and
a total amount of Zr4+, Hf4+, and Ta5+ components falling within a range of 24.8% to 65%, wherein
a relationship expressed in Expression (1) given below is satisfied;
(La3++Y3++Gd3+)×(Zr4++Hf4++Ta5+)≥400(%)2  (1).
