1. A cutter system for an electric shaver and trimmer, said system comprising:
a pair of cooperating cutting elements comprising an inner cutting element and an outer cutting element, wherein said inner cutting element and said outer cutting element each comprise two rows of comb cutting teeth at opposite edges thereof, wherein said inner cutting element and said outer cutting element each comprise at least one field of cutting perforations between said rows of comb cutting teeth, wherein said inner cutting element is movably supported relative to said outer cutting element by a support structure,
said outer cutting element defining a skin contact surface,
wherein said at least one field of cutting perforations of said outer cutting element includes at least two rows of perforations extending along said rows of comb cutting teeth,
wherein said at least one field of cutting perforations of said inner cutting element comprises elongated transverse perforations, such that at least one elongated transverse perforation cooperates with a corresponding perforation in each of the at least two rows of perforations of the field of perforations of said outer cutting element,
wherein a driver is slidably guided by the support structure and connected to the inner cutting element to drive the inner cutting,
wherein said support structure is configured to sandwich said inner cutting element between said outer cutting element and support ribs of said support structure, wherein a gap is defined between said outer cutting element and said support ribs which is slightly wider than the thickness of the inner cutting element to reduce friction, said support structure further includes a pair of outer frame portions holding said outer cutting element at opposite edge portions thereof, and distal ends of the outer frame portions are spaced from the inner cutting element and the skin contact surface of the outer cutting element in a direction parallel to a direction of a thickness of the inner cutting element.
