1. A maxillary appliance configured to be mounted inside a user's mouth to the user's upper jaw, the maxillary appliance comprising:
a palatal pad;
two hamular notch tubes connected to the palatal pad on either side; and
two buccal tubes extending between the two hamular notch tubes and configured to be positioned in the maxillary vestibule, wherein the palatal pad, the two buccal tubes and the two hamular notch tubes form a ring forming an opening, the ring configured to contact the user's maxillary gums to mount the maxillary appliance to the user's maxillary gums of the user's upper jaw such that no portion of the maxillary appliance contacts the user's teeth and the user's teeth extend through the opening so the maxillary appliance does not cover a chewing surface of the user's maxillary molars when mounted to the user's upper jaw.
